My advice is try not to be TOO specific. It’s a fine line, but you need to make sure to be detailed but not OVER-detailed.
Try to keep your sentences from getting too long, otherwise you’ll end up rambling (and overwriting).
The very best thing you can do is read over your work and make sure that there’s no irrelevant or off-topic information.
