Answer:

<u>"Doldrums" also called as he Horse latitude.</u>

Explanation:

  • The equator is generally considered as the region of calm later on it was called the ITCZ. Now its called the doldrums as the belt of the equator which houses the Hadley cells.
  • This is marked by the zero degrees latitude and this zone is the zone of mixing of atmospheric trade winds, earlier times sailors who came at this place along with their ships and horses but had to experience long-lasting high velocity prevailing winds at an altitude of <u>30, 40, 50, 60</u> degrees.
  • So they named these winds on these altitudes as the forties, screaming sixties filtering fifties. These winds were so strong that their ships used to get drowned with horses in these latitudes. These were the discoveries made by the sailors.

Two cities are located at the same latitude (40°). City A is in the Southern Hemisphere and City B is in the Northern Hemisphere
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

City B of Northern Hemisphere

Explanation:

The major difference between the southern and northern hemisphere is that the southern hemisphere has more water than land. In that case, water heats up and cools faster in Southern hemisphere.

Whereas, in the northern hemisphere there are more lands than water, therefore, land heats up and cool faster. Land absorbs heats faster and releases same faster.  90% of world population lives in the northern hemisphere

The only division between the Southern and Northern hemisphere is the equator.

Base of above explained, there are much temperature variations in the northern hemisphere than in the southern hemisphere, because of large landmass and physical variation of various land forms. Northern hemisphere experiences extreme climate

City B in the northern hemisphere will have largest annual temperaure.

Vertical distance between (-2, -3) and (-2, -12)
GarryVolchara [31]
What I can tell is that they both share the same x coordinate. To help you understand, the horizontal line is from left to right, think of "The sun setting in the horizon.", it is often in the distance as a "left to right" line. So, I hope that helps, this leaves the vertical line as up or down.

With that out of the way, the x-axis lies on the horizontal line, whereas the y-axis lies on the vertical line.

Point coordinates are typically listed as (x, y), so... with that said, to find the distance we'll have to count downwards. As we know, negative x is to the left, negative y is further down, so... -3 to -12 is 9 points away.

Simple method: -3 - 9 = -12, or... -12 - -3 = -12 + 3 = -9.
In other words you get the basic idea, you can also just count, but whatever.

I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day! ^ ^
