The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The Spanish-American war, overseas expansion, and World War I helped the United States emerge as a world superpower in the following way.

With its sound victory over Spain in the Spanish-American War of 1898, the United States defeated one of the most powerful kingdoms of the time. Spain was considered a nation with a great army in Europe. So when the United States defeated the Spanish troops and gained new territories after the signing of the Treaty of Paris, the world knew that the US has emerged as the new superpower of the world. The overseas expansion was important for this consolidation. The US had already gained control over the Philipines, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

After World War 1, the US was in the privileged position of offering help to the much needed European nations. WWI had been fought in Europe, and countries such as France, Germany, and others suffered much destruction and were in need to start reconstruction, The US loaned big sums of money to these countries and that represented more income for the US and fortified its presence as a powerful nation.

Why is africa regaded as cradle of human
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

The idea that humans evolved in Africa can be traced to Charles Darwin. In his 1871 book The Descent of Man, Darwin speculated that it was “probable” that Africa was the cradle of humans because our two closest living relatives—chimpanzees and gorillas—live there.

Define the 26th amendment

WeLp ;n;
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

Twenty-sixth Amendment, amendment (1971) to the Constitution of the United States that extended voting rights (suffrage) to citizens aged 18 years or older. Traditionally, the voting age in most states was 21, though in the 1950s Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower signaled his support for lowering it. Attempts to establish a national standardized voting age, however, were met with opposition from the states. In 1970 Pres. Richard M. Nixon signed an extension of the Voting Rights Act (1965), which lowered the age of eligibility to vote in all federal and state elections to 18. (Nixon himself was skeptical of the constitutionality of this provision.) Two states (Oregon and Texas) filed suit, claiming that the law violated the reserve powers of the states to set their own voting-age requirements, and in Oregon v. Mitchell (1970) the U.S. Supreme Court upheld this claim.

In response to this setback, and in particular spurred by student activism during the Vietnam War and the fact that 18-year-olds could be drafted to fight in the war but could not vote in federal elections in most states, an amendment was introduced in the U.S. Congress. It won congressional backing on March 23, 1971, and was ratified by the states on July 1, 1971—marking the shortest interval between Congressional approval and ratification of an amendment in U.S. history. The administrator of general services officially certified ratification of the Twenty-sixth Amendment on July 5.
