Answer:

C. Is absorbed by the atmosphere

Explanation:

The energy emitted by the earth's surface is at about 398.2 Wm2 in Long Wave radiation. this energy is the result of the interaction of incoming short wave radiation with the land and mainly Ocean with Convection, Conduction, latent heat, and evapotranspiration.

From the 398.2Wm2 only 40.1 Wm2 trespasses the atmosphere directly to space. The rest 358.2 is absorbed by the atmosphere.

Imagine that you work for the Loving Tree Paper Company, which uses local timber to make paper notebooks. You are responsible fo
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

A. Reforestation makes the forest renewable, so the company has a stable supply of timber.

Explanation:

If a company uses timber in order to produce paper, it can go either way for the environment, but also for the business itself.

If the company is not reforesting, than it will constantly cut down new trees, with much higher rate than what they can reforest the cut down area, so eventually there will be no trees, so the environment will be destroyed, and the business will be left without its basic material.

If the company uses the method of reforestation though it is a different story. If for every tree that is cut, there is another one that is planted on its place, the forest will constantly be in good shape. Also, the timber in this manner will be a renewable resource, as its replenishing will be at roughly the same rate as the cutting down of the trees. The environment will stay in good condition, and the business will constantly have its basic material in order to operate.

lozanna [386]

Answer:

The boundaries where the tectonic plates meet are the areas of the world with the most violent natural earthquake activity. When the plates grind against each other along plate boundaries, the rocks are under so much pressure that sometimes they heat up and fold, creating mountain ranges, hills and valleys.
