Answer with Explanation:

Among all the scientists in the world, it is Thomas Edison whom I'd like to emulate. His invention of the light bulb is phenomenal because I consider it as one of the greatest invention in the history of mankind. Although he had a hearing problem, he managed to focus on his invention. As a businessman, he was always hardworking, even at a young age, which is truly admirable.

Answer:

We have many different map projections because each has different patterns of distortion—there is more than one way to flatten an orange peel. Some projections can even preserve certain features of the Earth without distorting them, though they can't preserve everything.

Why is iron significant to understanding how a supernova occurs?
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

Iron cannot release energy either by fission or fusion.

Explanation:

When a high-mass star runs out of hydrogen inside its core, it starts burning helium, and then heavier elements until it reaches iron.

Nuclear fusion of iron cannot occur, because the amount of energy required for the fusion of two nuclei of iron is larger than the energy released.

Therefore, when all the lighter elements lighter than iron have already fuse together, the star cannot burn any other element, so the nuclear fusion inside the core stops and the star collapses on itself, producing a huge explosion known as supernova.
