It should be B or D. B because in 2 hours you make $10.50 and then add 15 minutes and you get B. It could also be D because that's doing $5.25 an hour which is true it's just deleting the extra 45 minutes so it can be either B or D.

Beth filled 32 jars with paint. If each jar holds 1 pint of paint. How many gallons of paint did beth use
MAVERICK [17]
1 jar of paint = 1 pint of paint
This means that Beth has 32 pints of paint.
32 jars of paint = 16 quarts of paint = 4 gallons of paint.
This means that Beth has (or possibly used) 4 gallons of paint.

Consider the function y = -2-3cos (x+pi). What effect does the -2 have on the basic graph
Elenna [48]

ANSWER

-2 shift the graph of the basic function down by 2 units.

EXPLANATION

The given cosine function is:

y =  - 2 - 3 \cos(x + \pi)

This equation can be rewritten as:

y =  - 3 \cos(x + \pi)  +  - 2

We compare this to

y = a \cos(bx + c)  + d

The effect d has on the graph is that, it shifts the graph up by d units.

If d is negative the graph shifts down by d units.

Since d=-2, the graph will shift down by 2 units.
