Answer:

(a) Since the percentage margin is more than maintenance margin, there would be no call

(b) A margin call would be received when the price is $15.26

Explanation:

(a) Total investment = $23,072 × \frac{100}{50} = $46,144

Total shares = Total investment ÷ share price

= $46,144 ÷ $41.2 = 1,120

Value of share in market = new price × number of shares

= $41 × 1,120

= $45,920

Value of equity = Value of share in the market - borrowed cash

= $45,920 - $23,072

= $22,848

Percentage margin = Value of equity ÷ Value of shares

= ($22,848 ÷ $45,920) × 100%

= 49.76%

(b) Total number of shares = 1,120

Assumed value of shares = $1,120X

Borrowed fund = $23,072

Value of equity = $1,120X - $23,072

Margin = Value of equity ÷ Value of shares

0.35 = ($1,120X - $23,072) ÷ $1,120X

392X = $1,120X - $23,072

1512X = $23,072

X = $15.26

What is the best way to help students use materials successfully in learning centers?
astraxan [27]

The best way to help students demonstrate ways to use materials is when introducing them.

<h3>How can learning centers effectively support students in making effective use of the resources there?</h3>

Create, share, and put procedures into action. The complicated choreography of different students, spaces, and materials that centers entail. Teachers are responsible for developing thorough procedures, explaining them to pupils, and giving them enough time to practice them until they become second nature.

The group with purpose: Centers give students the option to work independently, in groups of their choosing based on interests, or in mixed- or leveled-ability groups. All grouping choices must be deliberate and based on the character and goal of each activity.

Give students meaningful tasks: Centers activities in all subject areas should be engaging, difficult, and, whenever possible, give students a chance to practice skills in real-world contexts. This means that activities should assist students in making connections between their classroom learning and real-world situations or in forming practical habits of mind.

A year ago, Phyllis Peterson purchased 100 shares of Fidelity's Contrafund for $50 each. During the year, her total return from
Y_Kistochka [10]

Phyllis' RATE (percentage) of return is 7 percent

<u>Explanation:</u>

Data provided in the question:

Purchase price for each share = $50

Dividend received = $1 per share

worth of shares at the end of year = $52.50

Thus, total return on the share  = dividend received plus worth of sahres at the end of year minus purchase price

= $1 plus $52.50 minus $50 = $3.5

Therfore, rate of return = [ total return on the shares by purchase price ] into 100%

= [$3.5 by $50] inot 100 percent

= 7 percent

hence, the option with 7 percent will be the correct answer.

RoseWind [281]

Answer:

Cost to make $337,600

Cost to make $344,400

The company should make the product

Explanation:

Calculation to determine the total incremental cost of making 84,000 and buying 84,000 units

COST TO MAKE

Relevant per unit Relevant fixed cost Total relevant cost

Variable cost per unit $2.90 - $243,600(84000*$2.90)

Fixed manufacturing costs - $94,000 $94,000

Cost to make $337,600

($243,600+$94,000)

COST TO BUY

Relevant per unit Relevant fixed cost Total relevant cost

purchase per unit $4.10 - $344,400[$4.10*84000]

Cost to make $344,400

Based on the above calculation the cost of buying is higher than the cost of making therefore the company should MAKE the product.
