Bacteria multiply. I think... bacteria dont have double helix dna. They have what is called a plasmid. If I remember correctly, its most often bacteria that have plasmids for dna and so they duplicate by binary fission instead of the way we do.

Another function is to use sensory neurons to evaluate a scientific understanding of the world, such as determining which mineral is being looked at ie by its' colour, hardness, crystal system etc.

Those are DNA sequences. Each sequence of three bases in a DNA strand is called a codon. Each codon codes for a particular amino acid. So for example the codon AGC stands for the amino acids serine. The codon TGG stands for the amino acids threonine. The codon CTG stands for aspartic acid. So, the DNA sequence AGCTGGCTG codes for the amino acid sequence serine-threonine-aspartic acid.
