A hyperbole is an over exaggeration. The exaggeration is that the person who is being spoken to can probably not whip the entire rebel army. He might be able to do some damage but not defeat the entire army on his own.
An enjambment is used in poetry. It's when a sentence continues beyond a line or stanza break.
Imagery is the use of words to create a picture in the reader's mind.
Flashback is an interruption to show something that has happened in the past.
