The ozone layers is a region of Earth's stratosphere that absorbs most of the Sun's ultraviolet radiation. he ozone layer is mainly found in the lower portion of the stratosphere from approximately 20 to 30 kilometres (12 to 19 mi) above Earth. It's purpose is to protect us from the sun's ultraviolet rays which I said in the first sentence.

Ozone gas is.made up of oxygen molecules that has three atoms (O3) it exists in polluted air. Ozone layer is located in stratosphere(one of the layers of earth's atmosphere) it is like a protective layer and prevents dangerous ultraviolet(UV)from reaching earth's surface
