In Macbeth, the inciting incident is the events that set the story on its course. Therefore, the correct answer is A.

For example, in Macbeth, the three witches began the play with the prophecy that Macbeth would become the king of Scotland and that the children of Banquo will also become king after the death of Macbeth. That part is an inciting incident because the prophecy sets Macbeth in motion to achieve his goal vigorously. He killed King Duncan and forcefully installed himself as the king of Scotland.

Do you think Baldwin's essay (notes of a native son) is about the triumph of the human spirit? Why?
Mila [183]

Yes, in one way, the essay makes you think of the strength of human spirit when it endures severe situations.

James Baldwin “Notes of a Native Son” refers to racial issues in America. The topic of the story shows how Baldwin goes through a cycle of events. He contemplates the death of his stepfather, his youngest sister’s birth, his nineteenth birthday, and race problems in Harlem. The events and the way they presented makes Baldwin wonder about the spirit of human nature and what it needs to endure to live by.

Baldwin explores the bitterness and suffering of black Americans while remembering his father’s mental health. Baldwin thinks he can inherit the paranoia that affected his father and questions himself the way trauma is passed through generations.

Write each fraction or mixed number as a decimal. Use bar notation if the decimal is a repeating decimal. 2 5/8
Lady bird [3.3K]

Answer:

2.625

Explanation:

A mixed number is a combination of a whole number, and a proper fraction.

A proper fraction is a fraction in which numerator is less than denominator.

Given fraction is 2\frac{5}{8}

Here, 2\frac{5}{8} is a mixed fraction.

It consists of a whole number 2 and a proper fraction \frac{5}{8}

2\frac{5}{8}=\frac{21}{8}

Multiply both numerator and denominator by 125

\frac{21(125)}{8(125)}=\frac{2625}{1000}=2.625
