The more air is in the jar, the longer the candle will be able to burn. So the candle in jar 3 probably burned for 4 minutes.
The candle in jar 4 would be able to burn much longer then the others, because it has no lid so air can come through and keep the candle burning.

A nurse assisting a nursing student with medications asks the student to describe how penicillins (PCNs) work to treat bacterial
Mnenie [13.5K]

Penicillins disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis.

How does penicillin affect bacterial cell walls?

 • Penicillin kills bacteria by inhibiting the proteins which cross-link peptidoglycans in the cell wall .
 • When a bacterium divides in the presence of penicillin, it cannot fill in the “holes” left in its cell wall.
 • β-Lactam antibiotics, including penicillins, cephalosporins, monobactams, and carbapenems, are distinguished by a lactam ring in their molecular structure and act by inhibiting the synthesis of the peptidoglycan layer of bacterial cell walls.
 • Penicillins work by bursting the cell wall of bacteria. Drugs in the penicillin class work by indirectly bursting bacterial cell walls.
 • They do this by acting directly on peptidoglycans, which play an essential structural role in bacterial cells.

In addition to water, what things are necessary for an aquifer to form?
Levart [38]

The answer is; D

The porous rock is able to absorb water from precipitation. The water resides in the pores of the rock. The impermeable rock later, which does not allow water to pass through it, allows more water to hold in the porous rock and making the local water table to rise. The water in the porous rock, therefore, can be accessed through wells or a water spring can develop.
