Match the reasons with the statements in the proof.
Len [333]

Observe the given figure.

Given: m \angle 1 = m \angle 3, m \angle 2 = m \angle 3

To prove: l \parallel m

Statement

1.  m \angle 1 = m \angle 3, m \angle 2 = m \angle 3

Reason: Given

2. m \angle 1 = m \angle 2

Reason: Substitution

3. \angle 1,\angle 2 are alternate interior angles.

Reason: Definition of alternate interior angles

4. l \parallel m

Order these from least to greatest: .25, 3/8, 7/12, 5/16, .5
ivann1987 [24]
So before I tell you the answer this is a bit of explanation:)

To make it easier change the fraction into decimals!

3/8 = .375

5/16 =.3125

7/12 = .583

.5 = 0.5

.25 = 0.25

So, according to my calculations I believe it goes like this: 0.25, 0.375, 0.3125, 0.5, .583

Really I am not sure if this is correct but I hope this helps you understand you can order it whatever way you want but make sure you understand the explanation :) have a great day!!

Find the difference. (9/x^2-9x)-(6/x^2-81)
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

The difference is  $\frac{3 x+81}{x(x-9)(x+9)}$

Explanation:

The expression is $\left(\frac{9}{x^{2}-9 x}\right)-\left(\frac{6}{x^{2}-81}\right)$

Removing the parenthesis, we have,

$\left\frac{9}{x^{2}-9 x}\right-\left\frac{6}{x^{2}-81}\right$

Factoring the terms $x^{2}-9 x$ and $x^{2}-81$, we get,

$\frac{9}{x(x-9)}-\frac{6}{(x+9)(x-9)}$

Taking LCM, we get,

$\frac{9(x+9)-6x}{x(x-9)(x+9)}}$

Simplifying the numerator, we get,

$\frac{9x+81-6x}{x(x-9)(x+9)}}$

Subtracting the numerator, we have,

$\frac{3 x+81}{x(x-9)(x+9)}$

Hence, the difference is $\frac{3 x+81}{x(x-9)(x+9)}$
