Ocean plants absorb co2 just like trees do. Any co2 that’s not fixed will mess up the chemistry of the waters

If A/A ⋅ B/B is crossed with a/a ⋅ b/b and the F1 is testcrossed, what percentage of the testcross progeny will be a/a ⋅ b/b if
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

a) 25%; b) 50%; c) 45%; d) 38%

Explanation:

a) Unlinked genes

A/A B/B X a/a b/b

F1: A/a B/b

Testcross A/a B/b X a/a b/b

The homozygous recessive individual only produces ab gametes.

The F1 produces four types of gametes (each of them with a frequency of 1/4): AB, Ab, aB and ab.

25% of the progeny will be a/a b/b.

b) Completely linked genes

AB/AB X ab/ab

F1: AB/ab

Testcross AB/ab X ab/ab

The F1 produces only two types of gametes, the parentals (each of them with a frequency of 1/2): AB and ab.

50% of the progeny will be ab/ab.

c) 10 m.u. apart

AB/AB X ab/ab

F1: AB/ab

Testcross AB/ab X ab/ab

The F1 produces four types of gametes, the parentals AB and ab and the recombinants Ab and aB.

Since the genes are 10mu apart, 10% of the produced gametes will be recombinant and 90% will be parentals. Since there are two types of parental gametes, each of them has a frequency of 45%.

45% of the progeny will be ab/ab.

d) 24 m.u. apart

This is very similar to c).

Since the genes are 24mu apart, 24% of the produced gametes will be recombinant and 76% will be parentals. Since there are two types of parental gametes, each of them has a frequency of 38%.

38% of the progeny will be ab/ab.

If the presence in greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere continues to increase at the present rate, scientists predict that in
igomit [66]
Al of these will be the consequences except C, increase in polar ice. The rise in temperature is already causing the polar ice to melt down. The further increase in temperature will make the situation of the polar ice worse. the rise in vegetation in Tundra and Tyga regions could be seen because they are very cold areas and temperature increase may help vegetations to survive.

In mitochondria, an electron transport chain pumps protons from the matrix into the intermembrane space, whereas in chloroplasts
charle [14.2K]

Answer:

Thylakoid space to the stroma

Explanation:

Electron transport chain occurs in both the mitochondria and the chloroplast which is involved in the process of ATP formation in the cell. The enzyme which catalyzes the reaction of the ATP formation is ATP synthase. The ATP synthase is composed of two subunits the CF₀ and CF₁.

The CF₁ is involved in the conversion of ADP to ATP due to the rotation of the rotor in the CF₁ unit which derives its energy from the flow of protons.

In chloroplast during the electron transport chain, the proton gets accumulated in the thylakoid lumen. These accumulated protons flow back from the thylakoid lumen towards the stroma of the chloroplast through CF₀ subunit of ATP synthase.

Thus, the selected option is correct.
