Hello!

I believe there are a total of 12 possible outcomes for this problem. Using simple math, you can just multiply 4 by 3 to get 12 possible outcomes but you can also get 12 outcomes by looking at the fact that since there are 3 plans in each of the 4 models, there are 12 ways that this could play out.

I hope this helps!

For the function f(x)=8(x+10), find f^-1(x)
NeTakaya
In other words, find the inverse of the given function f(x).

1.  Replace f(x) with "y."     y = 8(x+10)
2.  Interchange x and y:      x = 8(y+10)
3.  Solve this for y:             y+10 = x/8, or y = x/8 - 10

                                   -1
4.  Replace "y" with "f     (x) "

          -1           x-80
         f   (x) = ----------     (Answer)

A piece of cloth is folded into a square with a side length measuring x inches. When it is unfolded, it has an area of x2 + 27x
Dmitriy789 [7]
Our task here is to find possible factors of <span>x^2 + 27x + 162.
We need to check out possible factors of 162 first.  Examples are:
2(81), 3(54), 6(27), 9(18), and so on.  Notice that 9 and 18 add up to 27, so that the factors (x+9) and (x+18) produce x^2 + 27x + 162 when mult. together.</span>
