Assertive communication is ideal because it is the practice of standing up for your views and expressing yourself effectively, while also respecting the other person's views. It's standing for what you believe in and being confident in it even if someone goes against it. Assertive communication can boost self-esteem also because it helps the person be confident in what they think and in that confidence, be able to express themselves better. Being assertive can also get you respect from others because they see that you are confident when you are talking to them and that you also respect what they think instead of thinking that you are self-righteous
