Answer:

Free Verse.

Explanation:

Both of the poems "I Hear America Singing" and "I, Too" use the free verse form of poetry. Walt Whitman and Langston Hughes both wrote their pieces in this form where there are no rules as such to write the poem. Free verse forms have no rhyme scheme, no meter, no specific number of lines or stanzas. They are wholly on the writer to write however he wants.

Whitman's piece have long sentences, proclaiming an American identity where everyone plays an equal part in the work. In contrast, Hughes's poem are short sentences, some even just one word sentences. The speaker of the poem's voice is rather stifled, with his voice taken away from him. Hughes's poem is about the need for equality among the various people. He demonstrates that everyone has an equal opportunity to be part of the American identity, which the black speaker is clearly denied.

Which sentence from the speech BEST supports the claim that Mandela expected support from around the world?
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

"I Am Prepared to Die" is the name given to the three-hour speech given by Nelson Mandela on 20 April 1964 from the dock of the defendant at the Rivonia Trial. The speech is so titled because it ends with the words "it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die".

Select the sentence that use correct punctuation. Select one: a. The seafood special is fried catfish but, flounder, is also on
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

A has two commas too many (but, flounder, is) because there is no pause after but and flounder.

B has one comma too many (dirty, on the job) for the same reason as A

D can do without a comma (or, voters) because or is a conjunction that is mend to join words.

So therefore it must be C where the comma is used before the contrasting second part of the sentence, introduced by yet another conjunction.
