Prescription of DISULFIRUM OR ANTABUSE is used as a part of aversive therapy approach to treatment of addiction to alcohol.

In aversion therapy is a form of behavioral therapy or learning therapy. While using disulfirum after consumption of alcohol leads to nausea, vomiting, headache, flushed skin, etc that gives aversion towards the use of alcohol.
