In given table we see the price of peanut buttor from three different brands. Some incentive or you can say discount is given too. So we need to calculate final selling price of peanut buttor from each brand before we can decide which one has lowest price.


Calculation for brand 1:

Regular price = $3.87

incentive = 25% of $3.87 = 0.25* 3.87 = 0.9675

Final selling price = 3.87-0.9675 = $2.9025


Calculation for brand 2:

Regular price = $3.45

incentive = 60 cents = $0.60

Final selling price = 3.45-0.60 = $2.85


From the table we can see that $2.85 is lowest selling price which is from Brand2.


Hence choice C. Brand2 is correct answer.
