Generally, the impact that social media has on citizen engagement and political participation is positive since it makes easier for people to have a voice in government. Most importantly, social media provides people with information.
There are many ways in which a person can participate in a democratic society. Some examples are by engaging in a political discussion or voting in local, state or national elections.
