Setup:
.50x + 5 = .10x + 10
.40x + 5 = 10               subtracted .10x from both sides of equation
.40x = 5                       subtracted 5 from both sides of equation
x = 12.5                       divided both sides of equation by .40

12.5 miles is the answer
