Positive × Positive = Positive
3 × 2 = 6
m × n = mn

Positive × Negative = Negative
8 × -4 = -32
m × -n = -mn

Negative × Negative = Positive
-5 × -4 = 20
-m × -n = mn
(-x) × (-x) = x²

The same rules apply for division as multiplication.

An urn contains 10 red balls, 6 green balls, 15 orange balls, and 14 blue balls. If one ball is randomly drawn from the urn, wha
Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

7:9

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of red balls = 10

Number of green balls = 6

Number of orange balls = 15

Number of blue balls = 14

Total numbers of balls =  45

Probability (odds against the red ball) = P( not red)

P(not red) = P(green) + P (orange) + P (blue)-------------------------  (1)

P (green) = 6/45

P ( orange) =15/45

P (blue)  = 14/45

Substituting in (1)

P(not red) = 6/45 + 15/45+14/45

                =  35/45

                =  7/9

                7:9

What is the radius of the following circle?
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

The radius is: 1

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle in center-radius form is:

(x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

Where the center is at the point (h, k) and the radius is "r".

Given the equation of the circle:

x^2+y^2=1

You can identify that:

r^2=1

Then, solving for "r", you get that the radius of the circle is:

r=\sqrt{1}\\\\r=1

Find a fraction equivalent to 5/2 that has a denominator of 10
nasty-shy [4]

Hey there!

Let’s leave number unknown.. so we label it as a “e” for equivalent

NEW EQUATION: 5/10 = e/10

FIRST: you have to CROSS MULTIPLY your given values

5 • 10 = e • 2

5 • 10 = 50

e • 2 = 2e

NEW EQUATION: 2e = 50

SECOND: DIVIDE BOTH of the SIDES by 2

2e/2 = 50/2

Cancel out: 2/2 because that gives you 1

Keep: 50/2 because it helps us solve for e

e = 50/2

= 50/2

= 25

Answer: e = 25 ✅

Overall answer for your given equation: 25/10 ☑️

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
