PLEASEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The writing process is a collection of strategies unique to each individual writer. Writers continually

evolve and adjust their strategies as they become more experienced. When you finish a writing assignment, how do you grow as a writer? Part of bettering your own writing is applying the feedback you receive from past assignments. One way to do that is through peer review. Peer reviews can offer a fresh lens on areas that need improvement. Using a previous writing example, explain how the feedback you received was helpful in improving your writing. Explain ways in which future peer reviews would be helpful. What advice would you give to students who take this course in the future who haven’t experienced a peer review of their writing?

1. The more you practice writing, the better you become. You cannot just simply learn a skill without practicing and working hard on it. So when you finish a particular assignment, you learn a lot of new things, you learn what you could change, and then implement that knowledge into your next assignment.

2. Peer review is of extreme importance because you get someone else's insight into your own assignment. You may be biased when analyzing your own work, but if you get someone to review it for you, you will learn what you should change, work on, and improve so that you can be better in the future.

3. I would definitely suggest that they get someone to review their work because it can be quite useful. I can understand that not everyone is comfortable with other people reading their assignments and rating them, but in the end, it is all for the best - your future assignments will be better!

Excerpt from Doughnuts - A Dessert Tradition Mary O’Dell Americans love doughnuts! Once only available as delightful treats and
GaryK [48]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

This title is the most appropriate because it does not limit research to a narrow question, but rather asks a series of essential questions.

Much research will have to go into the three questions of how, when, and why doughnuts became popular, but ultimately all these questions will help reveal the beginnings of a popular food item in the modern United States.

Please select the word from the list that best fits the definition<br><br> Enjoys reading
deff fn [24]

Answer:

There are different answers to this.

Explanation:

This is the full question:

Please select the word from the list that best fits the definition Enjoys reading

A interpersonal

B musical

C body-kinesthetic

D spatial

E linguistic

F intrapersonal

G logical-mathematical

From this list, the answer that best fits is E. Linguistic

This is because the other options have nothing to do with reading. Linguistics is the scientific study of language. A linguist studies language from the origin of words, the grammar and other aspects of language. In the light of this, a linguist has to enjoy reading seeing as they study language and indeed words.

Note: As for the question itself "enjoy reading"

Other words that can be used in to describe someone who enjoys reading is bibliophile or a bookworm.

Also, in learning there are visual learners. Visual learners learn by seeing or forming an image of what they're learning. A visual learner will prefer and enjoy reading than just listen because he/she understands and learns better that way.

Which piece of evidence explains the cause of the publishing industry being mostly white?
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

The question is from the newsela article, <em>"Missteps lead publishing industry to review  diversity effort."</em>

The answers are:

  1. (A) The latest results showed the industry is around 75 percent white and mostly female.
  2. (C) Cummins is not of Mexican heritage but visited the country and migrant shelters along the border for book research. In a New York Times op-ed in 2016, she wrote, "My family is mostly white." She has one Puerto Rican grandparent.
  3. (B) to demonstrate the effectiveness of a diversity program aimed at increasing diversity in publishing.
  4. (C) She would disagree and note the changes she has observed since beginning her career.

Explanation:

  1. The information, "<em>The children's book publisher Lee & Low released a survey of people who work in publishing. The  latest results showed the industry is around 75 percent white and mostly female." </em>conveys that empirical data supports the claim that the publishing industry is mostly white.
  2. In the introductory paragraph, the major concern of the critics is conveyed in the line, "Critics of "American Dirt" claim its  story makes mistakes in describing Mexican life and culture. The misrepresentation of Mexican culture in<em> "American Dirt" </em>can be accredited to the facts that Cummins is neither Mexican nor was the cultural research adequate.
  3. Michaela T. Glover is one of the interns at the United Negro College  Fund internship program. The lines,<em> "The organization WeNeedDiverseBooks works with  publishers and agents to recruit interns. The program began with five interns in 2015 and will  likely place 15-20 this summer. Out of 44 interns, 39 have since graduated from college and 30  have found full-time work in publishing, according to the organization. " </em>convey that the program is working to diversify the publishing industry.
  4. Tracy Sherrod conveys her publishing experience in the lines, "I first came into publishing in the 1980s and at that time it was believed that black people didn't  read. That statement was made to me multiple times, so we've come a long way," she said. "We're  growing as an industry, but there will be some growing pains." Tracy Sherrod believes that the industry is growing.
