Pedro Pascal wants to have $15,000 in an account after five years. He found a bank that will offer him a 7.5% interest rate, com
Juli2301 [7.4K]

<u>Answer-</u>

He needs to put $10345 in the account today, in order to get 15000 in five years.

<u>Solution-</u>

We know that,

A=P(1+\frac{r}{n})^{nt}

Where,

A = future value of the investment with interest  = 15000

P = principal investment amount

r = annual interest rate (decimal)  = 7.5% = 0.075

n = number of times that interest is compounded per year  = 4

t = the number of years the money is invested = 5

Putting the values,

15000=P(1+\frac{0.075}{4})^{4 \times 5}

\Rightarrow P=\frac{15000}{(1+0.01875)^{20}} =\frac{15000}{1.01875^{20}} =\frac{15000}{1.45} =10344.8 \approx 10345

The amplitude should be half the difference between the highest (maximum) and lowest (minimum) points which is half of the diameter of the circle. It is known that half of the diameter is the radius of a circle.</span>

A puzzle contains a triangular piece with a base of 3 in. and a height of 4 in. A manufacturer wants to make 80 puzzles. Find th
kari74 [83]
Since the base is 3 inches and the height is 4 inches, as well as the area of a triangle being base*height/2, we get 3*4/2=6 in. for each triangle. Since we need 20 pieces for each puzzle, we multiply 6 by 20 to get 120. In addition, since 80 puzzles are needed, with 20 pieces for each puzzle, we have 120 inches for each puzzle and 120*80 = 9600 square inches of wood used

Find one of the solutions to the following absolute value equation:<br> 26 + 4) = 48
Sindrei [870]
Answer : MAYBE 18 (?)
I’m not 100% sure
Explanation: you always solve what’s is parentheses “( )” first so then you get the equation
30 = 48
Then ( this is the part I’m not sure about)
You subtract 30 out that means 30-30=0 & 48-30 = 18 so that’s where I found my answer but idk I haven’t done absolute value since Algebra 1 !!
