Sliva [168]

Answer:

create a key-word outline

Explanation:

The key word outline refers to taking a paragraph of words or a speech and going sentence by sentence so as to extract the words that will make up the main and important idea. It means that a student or a person writes the main word or the key word for the entire sentence which provides the meaning of the sentence.

The keyword must contain the most important points of the sentence and should bring out the meaning of the sentence in one point.

Thus in the context, Natasha, a student should make a key word outline of the speech about the Chinese New Year for which she is taking notes of.

President Franklin Roosevelt is usually highly regarded as a President by historians for leading the country out of the Great De
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

In moderation, yes.

Explanation:

President FDR was surely a great president for what he did for Americans in the 1940s. Forcing Japanese internment camps are not one of his greatest contributions in our history living modernly, but back in the 40s it was not so frowned upon. If we, in modern days, looked back on this moment, we can see FDR was not so different than Hitler for forcing Japanese Americans out their homes and into camps. However, when we look back at the actions during WWII and we understand America's relationship with Japan and the unease it caused Americans, we may be able to sympathize with FDR and understand why he made that decision. He should be criticized for his actions, but those who criticize him should also understand why he made the decision he made.

1. The author says "parents grew up in another century." What does this mean?
Elza [17]

Answer:

I am not sure what this excerpt is about but the author could be using this to show that parents do not understand the child. The parents "grew up in another century" telling that they are older, they are not growing up in this time, meaning that they may not understand the child, or understand if/what he is trying to talk to them.
