Scientific notation is shorthand for writing really big or really small numbers. Without it we could not do certain calculations because there would be just too many digits and it would be tedious.

For example:
writing out the numbers in standard form..
1,440,000,000 ÷ 0.0000012 = ???
= 1,200,000,000,000,000

Scientific notation...
144×10^7 ÷ 12×10^-7 = 12×10^14

Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

H= 121.25 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the value of H after 30 months given the equation H=0.20x+115.25,

replace x by 30 in the equation and solve;

H=(0.20*30)+115.25

H=6+115.25

H= 121.25 meters

Therefore, the height will be 121.25 meters
