Barbie symbolizes American culture to a great extent. Some of the reasons for this are:

- it is a toy that is highly attractive to children, so there is a pressure (from the children to the parents ) to buy it
- it is not a toy that is wearing Islamic clothing, so the children would be exposed to western clothing at a young age
- it has a potential to influence self-image among children, and if they associate Barbie with a self-image, then their self-image will be that of a western person.

It shows the power of a global commerce because a doll that is made for an American market is crossing physical and cultural boundries - showing us the power of globalisation (new products can penetrate other cultures easier than ideas)<span />

Your reading above gets my article completely backwards. The research shows that women who work  outside the home have LOWER rates of depression than those who do not, even when we control for other factors, like pre-existing health problems that might make some women less likely to work. Someone needs a better fact checker or copy-editor!

BARSIC [14]

Answer: foreclosure.

Explanation:

In the stage of identity foreclosure, the individual goes through a self-identity discovery to explore different options or beliefs.

Most young teenagers first develop an identity based on the characteristics and features of family and friends, and they need to grow their own identity by examining other options, like as Abigail in this example.

Light passes through the air?
QveST [7]

Answer:

Yes it does

Explanation:

As light passes through air and into another clear material (such as glass), it changes speed, and light is both reflected and refracted by the glass. This results in us seeing the glass because it reflects and refracts light differently than the air around it does.
