In what three ways does a microscope increase the information you obtain from a specimen?
Pie

Microscope increases the information by magnification, resolution and contrast.

Microscope is the device used to view the objects that human eyes are incapable to see. The microorganisms, cells etc are viewed through the microscope. Microscope aids in viewing these specimens by three properties namely magnification, resolution and contrast.

Magnification is defined as the increasing the apparent size of object. The actual size of the specimen remains same. Resolution refers to minimum distance that separates the object. Due to resolution, we are able to see distinct images on magnification. Contrast is the adjustment of light intensity to assist in viewing and differentiating the object from its own and overall background.
