Typically, haiku is a form of poetry whose subject matter is usually about nature. Also, the concept of tea in Japan is that tea comes from nature and its consumption affects human lives.

Similarly, the use of Calligraphy to express haiku poetry in Japan was common in the 18th century, as the Japanese consider calligraphy to be the art of giving form to nature in an expressive, unified, and creative way.

For example, the writing of haiku poetry by a Japanese renowned poet Basho   in calligraphy style read thus:

"drinking morning tea
