What is one thing the women’s rights movement accomplished?
lana66690 [7]
B is the correct answer. When looking at these answers, you have to think about whether or not this seems like something that would have been one of the goals of the women’s right movement.

With answer A, it’s unclear. This could be related to women’s rights, but considering that gender or women are not mentioned, it’s unlikely.

With answer B, it is clear that this is about gender equality, which is what specifically the women’s rights movement was fighting for. This answer is correct.

With answers C and D, it is similar to answer A. Both are improvements to equality, but are not gender or women specific, so it is unlikely that is was done by the women’s rights movement.

Please help. No links. No nonsense.
Ghella [55]

Answer: One major difference is that King's believes that slavery didn't play a role, while Burns' does. A historical event that could support King's is when Congress established the Freedmen's Bureau in 1865. This provided aid to African Americans in their transition from slavery to freedom. A historical event that could support Burns' is Dred Scott v. Sandford. The case in 1857 declared that slaves and blacks descended from slaves and were not American citizens and cannot sue, so this could have led to outrage and war.

Answer:

Good choice:

C. was able to remain independent because France and Britain preferred that it remain so in order to serve as a buffer between their colonial territories.

Explanation:

Fortunately, the monarchy of Thailand managed to maneuver diplomatically and the Southeast Asian country managed to avoid the fate of its neighbors that fell prey of European colonialism. It managed to preserve its independence. Burma, a former British colony, is northeast of Thailand. To the west and the south lied Indochina: Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam. All of them were French colonies.
