The sugar act of 1764 is an act that impose tax of sixpence per gallon for molasses and it has never been effectively collected due to colonial resistance and evasion.

The Sugar Act<span>, also known as the American Revenue </span>Act<span>, was a revenue-raising </span>act<span> passed by the British Parliament of Great Britain in April of </span>1764<span>. The earlier Molasses </span>Act<span> of 1733, which had imposed a tax of six pence per gallon of molasses, had never been effectively collected due to colonial resistance and evasion.</span>

Meaning drawbacks of using iron for example rusting is it was realised that Steel was a better option in making railroads.  

Steel being made out of iron is heavy duty material yet it is not much prone to rusting. Just addition of certain minerals and carbon in iron steel forging is done making it heavy duty material.
