Some of the math terms are originated from the Latin language.
From these terms are "unit" which actually means one of something and also "plus" which means many things added together.

Other terms of Maths are generated from Greek language as "ply" which means many and "nomial" which means term.

Answer:

<em>poly-----many.</em>

<em>uni-----one.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

" Mathematics uses many greek as well as latin words to represent the mathematical terms " .

the Latin word that means many in mathematics is "poly"

for example: we say a <em>"polygon" </em>which actually means a geometrical figure with many sides.

similarly the Latin word that means one in mathematics is "uni"

for example: We say that the vector is uni directional that means that it traverse in one direction.

Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

From the picture attached,

∠4 = 45°, ∠5 = 135° and ∠10 = ∠11

Part A

∠1 = ∠4 = 45°  [Vertically opposite angles]

∠1 + ∠3 = 180° [Linear pair of angles]

∠3 = 180° - ∠1

     = 180° - 45°

     = 135°

∠2 = ∠3 = 135°  [Vertically opposite angles]

∠8 = ∠5 = 135° [Vertically opposite angles]

∠5 + ∠6 = 180° [Linear pair of angles]

∠6 = 180° - 135°

∠6 = 45°

∠7 = ∠6 = 45° [Vertically opposite angles]

By triangle sum theorem,

m∠4 + m∠7 + m∠10 = 180°

45° + 45° + m∠10 = 180°

m∠10 = 180° - 90°

m∠10 = 90°

m∠10 = m∠12 = 90°  [Vertically opposite angles]

m∠10 = m∠11 = 90° [Given]

Part B

1). ∠1 ≅ ∠4  [Vertically opposite angles]

2). ∠7 + ∠5 = 180° [Linear pair]

3). ∠9 + ∠10 = 180° [Linear pair]

c will always be the hypotenuse.

a and b can be any if the opposite or the adjacent.

{15}^{2} + 12^{2} - 2 \times 15 \times 12 \times \cos(90) = 369

\sqrt{369}=19.20937...
