Hebrew's monotheistic religion differs in the sense that the Hebrews acknowledge one and only one God, this God is responsible for the creation of the world and the maintenance of the world, the other religions had different gods for different functions. The Hebrew God could not be represented in sculpture or image, differently fromother cultures. Although the Hebrew God accepted and liked animal sacrifice, as many other religions had, human sacrifice was prohibited and there was a set of elaborated rules codified in the ten commandments and also in the books of pentateuch: mainly in Leviticus, Numbers and Deuternomy.
