Television sizes are described by the length of their diagonal measure. What would be the listed size of the TV shown? (to the n
prisoha [69]

Answer:

38 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

since we are finding the diagonal we are going to use the equation a^2+b^2=c^2

so if we do substitution we would have 32^2+20^2=C^2

32^2= 1024

20^2= 400

so,

1024 + 400 = C^2

1424 = C^2

to get rid of the C^2 we have to take the square root of it. But whatever we do on one side of the equation we have to do on the other side so,

C = sqrt(1424)

C = 37.73

C = 38 inches

reflection and translation.

Given:

The different transformation in the options.

To find:

The transformation that would result in the perimeter of a triangle being different from the perimeter of its image.

Solution:

In option 1,

(x,y)\to (y,x)

It represents reflection across the line y=x.

In option 2,

(x,y)\to (x,-y)

It represents reflection across the x-axis.

In option 3,

(x,y)\to (4x,4y)

It represents dilation by scale factor 4 and the center of dilation is at origin.

In option 4,

(x,y)\to (x+2,y-5)

It represents translation 2 units right and 5 units down.

We know that the reflection and translation are rigid transformations, It means the size and shape of the figure remains the same after transformation.

So, the perimeter of the figure and its image are same in the case of reflection and translation.

But dilation is not a rigid transformation. In dilation, the figure is similar to its image. So, the perimeter of the figure and its image are different in the case of dilation.

Therefore, the correct option is 3.

How do I work with percents? Describe Please!

With what in regard? For fractions, percentage is relative to the amount “full”. Think or a bottle of water, if it’s 50% full, it’s got 1/2 (50/100) filled with water. Simplifying is the process of taking a big fraction, say, 12/36, and finding the similarity to reduce it. 12 and 36 are both even, so let’s try to divide it by 2. 12/2 is 6, and 36/2 is 18. 6/18. However this is simplified it is not in simplest form, so we can divide It again. 6/2 is 3, and 18/2 9. 3/9 can be reduced by 3, making 1/3. 1/3 is the simplest form.
