The correct answer is A) Great Britain did not want control of the lands won in World War II.

The difference between Great Britain and The Soviet Union in Europe after the war was that Great Britain did not want control of the lands won in World War II.

At the end of World War II, Great Britain did not demand any new territory to be included as part of England, as was the case of the Soviet Union. Premier Russian leader Joseph Stalin wanted to spread Communism in different parts of the world, and he started in Eastern Europe. After the war, Russia controlled Eastern Germany, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania. Russia also wanted the whole portion of Germany, not also the Eastern part. That is why he decided to blockade the West part of Berlin.
