BT toxin is an insecticide toxin naturally produced by the bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis. Using genetic engineering plant were transform to produce it too, by adding the gen that codes the toxic protein "BT". Once an insect eats the genetically modified plant, BT proteins interacts in their midgut, harming the insect and killing it.
