Normally, members of an average community have downfalls in their DNA. However, as each being is completely different, different imperfections affect different people.

Now, imagine a community based on the offspring of two people. The imperfections passed on through the family line will grow stronger and stronger until a disease rare to normal human life strikes the family.

This is one of the reasons why incest is illegal (although still pretty gross even without that fact.)

What statement does NOT pertain to the cephalic phase of gastric secretion? (It controls the rate at which chyme enters the smal
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

It controls the rate at which chyme enters the small intestine

Explanation:

Cephalic phase is one of the phase of gastric secretion (other two are gastric phase and intestinal phase) that begins even before food enters the oral cavity. Thinking of food stimulates the release of gastric juice via parasympathetic nervous system). Food that enters the stomach also stimulates the secretion of gastric juice by parietal cells. Partially digested food directly activates G cells (Enteroendocrine cells) to secrete gastrin which also stimulates the release of gastric juice.

How do you locate a specific gene in a grasshopper and extract it into another grasshopper?
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

Because of the universality of the genetic code, the polymerases of one grasshopper can accurately transcribe a gene from another grasshopper. For example, different species of bacteria obtain antibiotic resistance genes by exchanging small chromosomes called plasmids.

Which type of Electromagnetic waves on the spectrum has the highest
energy? Why?
Marina CMI [18]

Explanation:

Each section of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum has characteristic energy levels, wavelengths, and frequencies associated with its photons. Gamma rays have the highest energies, the shortest wavelengths, and the highest frequencies. Radio waves, on the other hand, have the lowest energies, longest wavelengths, and lowest frequencies of any type of EM radiation. In order from highest to lowest energy, the sections of the EM spectrum are named: gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet radiation, visible light, infrared radiation, and radio waves. Microwaves (like the ones used in microwave ovens) are a subsection of the radio wave segment of the EM spectrum.

Some Hibernating animals don't eat during hibernation and come out of hibernation with much less fat than when they started. The
Serga [27]

Hibernation

Explanation:

C) the animal convert their stored fat molecules into ATP molecules; since ATP is highly unstable its uncoupled hydrolysis generates internal heat .

Hibernation can be referred as winter sleep. It is a process followed by animals to escape cold temperatures during winter. Most of the hibernating animals store fat in their body and have greater body mass. During this hibernation period their body breaks down the stored fat to release heat and keep the animal warm.
