Dafna11 [192]

Answer:

It takes 4 minutes per block and she can walk 12.5 blocks in 45 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

20 / 5 = 4 minutes per block

20 + 20 + 5 = 45

5 + 5 + 2.5 = 12.5

Hope this helps, I did the test last year.

7th grade math help me plzzzz
siniylev [52]

Answer:

17 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

So to find the answer you need to subtract. If the temp went down 22.1 degrees and it is -5.1 degrees you will subtract 22.1 - 5.1. This equals 17 degrees. You know the answer is correct because you can check your answer by adding: 5.1 + 17 = 22.1. We are disregarding the negative sign.

Hey can you please help me posted picture of question
fredd [130]
The discriminant can be determined from the number of roots of the graph.

If Disc> 0, the function has two distinct roots
If Disc = 0, the function has a repeated root
If Disc < 0, the function has no real root.

Since the given graph has no real root, i.e. it does not cross x-axis at any point, so we can say that the discriminant of the given function is negative.

So the answer to this question is option C

Construct a 99% confidthence interval for the population mean .Assume the population has a normal distribution. A group of 19 ra
Kobotan [32]
<h2>Answer with explanation:</h2>

Confidence interval for mean, when population standard deviation is unknown:

\overline{x}\pm t_{\alpha/2}\dfrac{s}{\sqrt{n}}

, where \overline{x} = sample mean

n= sample size

s= sample standard deviation

t_{\alpha/2} = Critical t-value for n-1 degrees of freedom

We assume the population has a normal distribution.

Given, n= 19 , s= 3.8 , \overline{x}=22.4

\alpha=1-0.99=0.01

A) Critical t value for \alpha/2=0.005 and degree of 18 freedom

t_{\alpha/2} = 2.8784

B) Required confidence interval:

22.4\pm ( 2.8744)\dfrac{3.8}{\sqrt{19}}\\\\=22.4\pm2.5058\\\\=(22.4-2.5058,\ 22.4+2.5058)=(19.8942,\ 24.9058)\approx(19.9,\ 24.9)

Lower bound = 19.9 years

Uppen bound = 24.9 years

C) Interpretation: We are 99% confident that the true population mean of lies in (19.9, 24.9) .

How to find three consecutive integers whose sum is 336?
Allisa [31]
There's a quick, easy, sloppy way, and there's a good math way.
Here's the good math way:

If the integers are consecutive, then you can call them  'x',  (x+1), and  (x+2).

We know what their sum is, so let's add them up:

x + (x+1) + (x+2)  =  336

x +  x+1  +  x+2    =  336

Combine the terms that are alike on the left side:

                                           3x + 3  =  336

Subtract 3 from each side:    3x = 333

Divide each side by 3 :            <u>  x = 111</u>

The integers are<em>  111,  112,  </em>and<em> 113</em> .
