Why did the two party system party form?

History

The two party system formed because of the different opinions that each person held. For example, during the civil war, there were abolitionists, and those who want to keep slaves. Each of the party was created to bring voters who have the same views together, and to elect a representative for their own views. Each party chose which views they want to stand in, and voters joined the parties that have the most values that the voter have.

As seen today, most people are in one of the two major parties, Republican and Democrats. They each have a set of values that they believe in, and those who have more of the same values in one would most likely join one.

Historically, the two party system was not something George Washington wanted. He believed that with a split of the country, the people would be plagued with problems. As stated historically: "United We Stand, Divided We Fall". But because of the difference of opinions, it brings the people with the same values together, and separates the others.

hope this helps

Hi,

Answer: Simply because they couldn’t agree

My work: First there was no incentives on making two parties. There were two parties made, because they could simply agree. They also made two parties, because of two different beliefs or side of an argument. (Democrats and Republicans)

Words you might not know:

Incentive - Motivation or Encouragement

What Incentive means in my description:

1) No intentions!

What was the causes and effects of japan growing military power?
Nataly [62]

Answer: Imperialism.

Explanation:

Japanese imperialism was most evident in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, until World War II. That was the reason the Japanese were continuously arming themselves. Japan sought to achieve its imperialist aspirations to the detriment of its neighbors, and for a long time was the most powerful factor in the Far East. By the above, Japan fought during the Second World War on the side of Germany precisely because of its efforts to implement its imperialist aspirations through war.
