To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

1. You have that $50 is added to the prize money each time a caller answers the contest question incorrectly and the first caller has a chance to win $100.

2. Therefore, the amount the 10th caller receives, if the this caller answers the question correctly, is:

x: the amount the 10th caller receives.
y: the number of caller

x=100+50(y-1)

As y=10 (the 10th caller), you have:

x=100+50(10-1)
x=100+50(9)
x=100+450
x=$550

svet-max [94.6K]
The Alternate Interior Angles theorem states, if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then the pairs of alternate interior angles are congruent. A theorem is a proven statement or an accepted idea that has been shown to be true.

16,000 rolls of paper were purchased and 12,500 were sold at $1.79, what is the total ending inventory?
Maslowich
12,500 x 1.79 to find the price but 16,000 - 12,500 to get how many were left.
12,500 x 1.79 = $22,375 that they made from selling. 16,000 - 12,500 = 3,500 rolls left in the inventory. This question confused me so I just gave both answers.

Is x = 2 a solution of the equation 8 - 5x = 3?*
(5 Points)
O Yes
O No
kondaur [170]

Answer:

No sir

Step-by-step explanation:

first you will try to get x by its self.

so were it says -5x = 3 you wanna do

                          +5 +5 on both sides to cancel out 5 so that would be

                             X =  8  because -5 + 5 is 0 which in this case will be left with X

you already have 8 so x = 8

Hopefully this helps
