The correct answer is B) "Mordred tries to steal the English throne" so King Arthur does not trust Mordred.

when King Arthur goes to France to invade it, Mordred takes advantage of his absence to proclaim himself as the King of England.

Due to this, King Arthur returns to England immediatly. Both King Arthur and Mordred make a truce for a month but Arthur does not trust Mordred so he tells his knights that if any sword is brandished, they should attack.

Mordred tries to steal the English throne. This is the correct version. While Arthur is at war in France, his son , Mordred, declares himself king of England. When Arthur learns about this act of treason, he gets back to England and meets Mordred in single battle.

-Mordred wants Arthur to sign a peace treaty. This is wrong because Arthur is asked to sign a truce with Mordred but then, it does not happen.

-Mordred is one of the knights of the Round Table. This is wrong .Although he does his best to become one, this is not the reason why Arthur does not trust him.

-Mordred tries to steal the magic sword from Arthur. This is wrong because it is the kingdom what he tries to steal from Arthur.
