Different chart elements can be added to a chart to help you clarify your data: from trendlines, to axis lines, from data labels and data series to data tables and plot. Chart elements support different features such as live preview and built-in chart type awareness to automatically update itself and provide the most applicable set of options based on the chart type. You can access the chart elements in the format pane.
