Vivid description (A) helps develop characters in a personal narrative.

A personal narrative talks about an experience, usually from the first person point of view. In order to develop the characters, the writer needs to include descriptions to help the reader understand them. If the reader does not understand more about the character than simply what is happening in the story, he or she might be confused about why a character is saying or doing something.
