Claim: Most adults would erase all of their personal information online if they could. A software firm survey of 640 randomly s

elected adults showed that 99.2% of them would erase all of their personal information online if they could. Make a subjective estimate to decide whether the results are significantly low or significantly high, then state a conclusion about the original claim.

Answer:

Given:

Sample size, n = 640

Since result showed that 99.2% of them would erase all of their personal information online if they could, we have:

P' = 99.2% = 0.992

Let's take p = 50%

Our null and alternative hypothesis will be :

H0 : u = 0.5

H1 : u > 0.5

In this case we are to check for the test statistic.

\frac{P' - p}{\sqrt{p(1-p)/n}}

= \frac{0.992 - 50}{\sqrt{50(1-50)/640}}

= 24.9

Test statistic, Z = 24.893

In conclusion, the results are significantly high, which suggets there is suffcient evidence to support the claim that most adults would erase all of their personal information online.

What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (2, 4 and is perpendicular to the line whose equation is 3y = 6x 3
Maru [420]
Perpendicular line always have slopes that are negative reciprocals of one another.  Mathematically,

m1*m2=-1

So to be perpendicular to the line given, let's rearrange it to the point slope form of a line...

3y=6x ?3 (not sure what you wanted to type there)

anyway isolating y by dividing both side by three will leave 2x where 2 is the slope.

So for the other line to be perpendicular, m*2=-1, m=-1/2, now we have:

y=-x/2 +b, we can now you the point given to solve for b

4=-2/2 +b

4=-1+b

b=5 so

y=-x/2 +5 or more neatly

y=(10-x)/2

At the city museum, child admission is $6.20 and adult admission is $9.50. On Friday, tickets were sold for a total sales of $10
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

98child tickets were sold that day

Step by step Explanation:

Let the number of children= A of the number of adult

Then

6.20C + 9.50A = 1082.0

From the question it was said that four times as many adult tickets as child tickets were sold which implies that number of adult was FOUR times the children, then we can say

A= 4C

Then substitute into the above equation

6.20C + 9.50A = 1082.0

6.20C + 9.50(4C) = 1082.0

6.20C + 38C= 1082.0

44.2C =1082.0

C= 24.48

But we know that

A= 4C

A=4* 24.48

A= 97.9

Therefore ,98child tickets were sold that day
