Why is increased female participation in government MOST LIKELY a sign of democratization?
Alborosie
I think It suggests that a country is willing to let all its citizens get involved in government. It's believed in many circles that a woman's role is in the home (Kitchen) she has rights a little less than an animal. Not until the 20th century, women in most parts of the world, have been disenfranchised, oppressed. She should stay at home and take care of the kids. Democracy is non discrimantory; everyone's opinion counts. Citizen are not barred from running for political office for gender reasons: because they feel every citizen has aright to be involved in politics. Whether woman or minorities. Increased participation in politics by women shows that the masses are being very democratic.
