The copper statue, a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States, was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and built by Gustave Eiffel. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886.
I believe it’s D, the plantations were huge and far apart. So the population was scattered.
D Because it does not run north to south, it was completed after the Civil War, and it didn't really help to ship cotton to Britain more quickly.
