Crop Prices:  Due to many natural and man made disasters and soaring summer temperatures, the prices for crops decreased dramatically.  Hazardous conditions for crops persisted and farmers were unable to support their livestock, so many moved to other parts of the United States.

The Dust Bowl:  The Dust Bowl contributed to loss of crops and livestock.  This made financial matters worse for American farmers living during the Great Depression.  The Dust Bowl caused many farmers to abandon their fields and move to cities.

Bank Problems:  Banks often took in deposits and loaned out money to farmers.  As farmers earned less and less money due to crop failure, banks also began failing.
