Every advertising medium offers specific strengths and weaknesses in and of itself as well as in terms of your approach to your target market. Billboards demand brevity. TV spots require big production budgets. All broadcast advertising requires frequency to extend its reach, which in turn requires the purchase of enough airings to achieve frequency. Most advertising campaigns use a mix of different media to extend reach effectively. The better you quantify your target, the more efficiently you can reach it, and the more closely you scrutinize your advertising results, the more you can improve your methods.
