Answer:

The digestion rate of light meal is fast whereas heavy meal digestion takes more time. The time is related with the rate of digestion. The heavy meal takes 6 hrs to digest whereas light meal takes 1 hr for digestion of food.

Explanation:

The digestion of food in gut depends on the type of food taken by the body. Different kind of food for example, heavy food, medium meal and light food take different time for digestion. The light meal digests faster within an hour or two than the heavy meal in the body.

Thus, by examining the type of food present in gut, forensic scientists can easily determine the time when the food was taken by the body. This allows scientists to know the time of death of the person.

in redi's second experement, what was (a) the independant variable and what was (b) the dependant variable?
aleksley [76]

in redi's second experiment, the independent variable is presence of the gauze, or lack of it, while the dependent variable is appearance of maggots .

What are independent variable and independent variable?

independent variable can be described as the variable that stands alone and whereby the other variables can not impact it when one is trying to measure. For instance someone's age is independent variable.

On the other hand ,dependent variable are variable that can not stand alone , hence in redi's second experiment, the independent variable is presence of the gauze, or lack of it, while the dependent variable is appearance of maggots .

The middle section that talks about active and passive transport
inysia [295]

Answer:

Diffusion- Passive transport

energy required- Active transport

exocytosis- Active transport

osmosis- Passive transport

endocytosis- Active transport

energy not required- Passive transport

facilitated diffusion- Passive transport

Protein pumps- Active transport

Explanation:

Passive transport can be described as the transport of particles along the concentration gradient i.e from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration. This process does not require energy. For example, the phenomenon of osmosis

Active transport can be described as the transport of particles against the concentration gradient i.e from an area of lower concentration to an area of higher concentration. This process requires energy. For example, exocytosis
