Find the area of the shaded portion intersecting between the two circles.
stich3 [128]

Answer:

Area shaded portion = 16/3 π - 8√3

Step-by-step explanation:

The shaded portion consists of 2 equal segment

∵ Two circles have the same radii = 4

∵ The the length of the common chord of the two circles = 4

∴ The central angle of each segment = π/3 (60° equilateral Δ)

∵ Area segment = area sector - area Δ

∵ Area sector = 1/2 r²Ф = 1/2 × (4)² × π/3 = 8/3 π

∵ Area Δ = 1/4 s² √3 = 1/4 × (4)² × √3 = 4√3

∴ Area segment = 8/3 π - 4√3

∴ Area shaded portion = 2(8/3 π - 4√3) = 16/3 π - 8√3

The North Carolina Aquarium at forth fisher celebrated a record amount of visitors on Memorial Day.they recorded 16,652 visitors
Lena [83]

Answer:

Option(b) = 10

The Number 6 in the thousands place is 10 times bigger than the Number 6 in the hundreds place

Explanation:

We are given the value recorded = 16,652

Now the Number 6 in hundreds place means it is equal to 600 and the Number 6 in thousands place means that it is = 6000

from the given value 6 in hundreds place = 652 and

that in thousands place = 6520 ,

so the six in thousands place is obtained by multiplying 10 with the 6 in hundreds place hence the latter is 10 times bigger than the former.

Lunna [17]

Answer:

x = 2010

Step-by-step explanation:

It is difficult separating and organizing the data. The best I can see is that the question is asking what is the value of x to make f(x) = t(x) true. x = 2010 is a year in which enrollment was the same, 740, in both f and t.

On Friday, a local hamburger shop sold a combined total of 393 hamburgers and cheeseburgers. The number of cheeseburgers sold wa
Lunna [17]
The answer would be about 98 hamburgers.
This is because you would have to divide 393 by 2 to get 196.5.
Since the number of cheeseburgers is doubled divide 196.5 by 2 to get 98.25.
Add 98.25 to 196.5 and get 294.75.
Subtract.
